  Whilst visiting family in North Yorkshire, we decided to stay at the Coach House Inn which is situated in the picturesque large village of High Bentham. On arrival we were met by the owner of the establishment, Karl who is friendly and helpful. He showed us to our rooms which are lovely with tea and coffee making facilities a 32 inch flat screen TV and all the usual refinements found at larger more expensive hotels. The shower in the en-suite deserves a mention as it is probably powerful enough to put out a forest fire. Although the room is above the bar we never heard any customers or the usual bar noise whilst sleeping...... Now to the bar and restaurant. We ordered the garlic mushrooms which were piping hot and just the right amount of garlic on them as starters and for the main course I had the Rump steak and my wife had the macaroni cheese which were both tasty, perfectly cooked and presented well. The food was delivered to the table by Sarah who although is only16 years old was very mature and friendly and a credit to the manager. The locals are friendly as is normal in this part of the world and the rest of the staff are also worth a mention as they are all friendly, helpful and genuine without being too "in your face" Overall a lovely experience which I will definitely repeat when I am next in the area.
